Ralida Island (English; Bulgarian остров Ралида ostrow Ralida ) is an east-west orientation 320 m long and 80 m wide island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.12 km north of Asencio Point , 180 m southeast of Glarus Island , 4.16 km south-southeast of Bulnes Point and 2.86 km south of Tizoin Point off the southwest coast of Trinity Island .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them on 2018 after the Bulgarian trawler Ralida , who from the 1970s to the early 1990s fishing in the waters around South Georgia , around the Kerguelen , around the Southern Orkney Islands , around the Southern Shetland Islands and had operated around the Antarctic Peninsula .
