Projects

  • In 2005, with the help of Ralos Solar GmbH, the (then) largest photovoltaic roof system in the world was put into operation. The photovoltaic system has a connected load of 5 megawatts and can generate around 4.5 million kWh of electricity per year. With a size of approx. 45,000 m², the structure roughly corresponds to the area of eight soccer fields.

  • In April 2009 the “first solar filling station” was opened in Frankfurt. The installed solar roof on the traffic island would also have space on every sunlit family home. The 18 modules could completely supply an economical household with CO 2 -free electricity.
  • In May 2009, the longest photovoltaic system in the world was completed on the housing of the A3 near Aschaffenburg. With a length of 2.7 kilometers, 16,000 solar modules and an output of 2800 kWp, the annual electricity needs of around 600 households can be met in an environmentally friendly manner.
