Ralph Brunner (born November 21, 1971 in Wiggensbach ) is a former German racing wheelchair athlete and participant of the Summer Paralympics 2000 in Sydney , the Summer Paralympics 2004 in Athens and the Summer Paralympics 2008 in Beijing . At the Summer Paralympics in Sydney he won the bronze medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay.

Athletic career

His disciplines are the 1500, 5000 meters and the marathon run. His disability is a double thigh amputation . His club was the HSC Erfurt. His trainer was Christiane Peters. At the EM 2001 he took 3rd place over 1500 meters. At the 2002 World Cup he was 2nd with the 4 x 100 meter relay and at the 2007 World Cup he finished 3rd over 5000 meters. At the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, he finished 10th in the marathon.

Brunner is a technician by profession. He is married and has two children.
