Ralph Liggett Evans junior (born February 7, 1924 in New York City , † July 23, 2000 in Darien ) was an American sailor .

Ralph Evans, of the Massachusetts Bay Area Club sailed, took part in the 1948 Olympic Games in London in the class of boat Firefly part. With 5408 points, he finished second behind Paul Elvstrøm and ahead of Koos de Jong and thus secured the silver medal.
During the Second World War , Evans was a fighter pilot in the US Air Force in the Vought F4U Corsair aircraft . After the war he studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology .
