Ralph Hug

Ralph Hug (* 1954 in Goldach ) is a Swiss publicist . He lives and works in St. Gallen and has been researching various political topics for many years, including the involvement of Swiss volunteers in the Spanish Civil War .

Ralph Hug is a co-founder of a community of interests that has set itself the task of recalling the historic achievements of the Spain volunteers and contributing to their sustainable rehabilitation. He reports on their fates in numerous articles. Together with the Social Democratic National Councilor Paul Rechsteiner and others, Ralph Hug achieved in early 2010 that the sentences against the Swiss who had fought against the Franco dictatorship in the Spanish civil war were overturned.
