Ram Mukherjee

Ram Mukherjee (* 1933 ; † October 22, 2017 in Mumbai ) was an Indian film director , producer and screenwriter in Hindi and Bengali cinema. He is one of the founders of Filmalaya Studios in Mumbai. He is best known for his films Hum Hindustani and Leader with Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala .

Life and family

His father Ravidramohan Mukherjee was the step-brother of the film producer Sashadhar Mukerji . Ram Mukherjee was married to Krishna Mukherjee. His daughter is the actress Rani Mukerji . He died on October 22, 2017 after a long illness at the age of 84 in the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
