Ramil Gallego (born September 21, 1966 in Bacolod City ) is a Filipino pool player .

Career

At the US Open in 9-Ball in 1999, Gallego finished ninth. In February 2000 he finished fifth at Motolite International. In July 2001 he reached the 33rd place at the 9-Ball World Cup , in September he reached the 25th place at the US Open and, after a final defeat against the Mexican Rafael Martinez , was second in the New England 9-Ball Championship . At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2002 , Gallego reached 17th place. In November 2002 he was ninth at the IBC Tour tournament in Tokyo .

In February 2003, Gallego was third in a tournament on the Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour . At the 9-ball world championship of the same year he finished ninth, in 2004 he finished 17th. In March 2006 Gallego finished fourth in the 8-ball tournament of the US Bar Table Championship , and in June he won the San Miguel Tour event in Bangkok in the final against Hong Kong's Au Chi-Wai . At the 9-Ball World Championship in November, he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Chao Fong-Pang . At the US Open 2007 Gallego was fifth, at the 9-ball World Cup 2007 he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Kuo Po-Cheng . A few days after the World Cup, he was second in the final against Alex Pagulayan at the Negros Oriental International . In 2008 Gallego won the Hollywood Billiards Memorial. He also finished fifth at the Qatar World Open and came 25th at the US Open.

In March 2009 Gallego won the Japan Open . In September he finished ninth in the 10-ball event of the World Classic. At the US Open in 2009 he again finished 25th. At the 10-ball world championship in 2009 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round. 2010 Gallego finished ninth in the Predator International Championship . At the US Open, he finished 25th again. At the Predator International Championship 2011 Gallego finished fifth, at the 8-Ball World Championship he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the 9-ball world championships in 2013 and 2014 , Gallego was eliminated in the round of sixteen against Chris Melling and Nick van den Berg, respectively .
