Ramiz Mustafayev
Ramiz Hacı oğlu Mustafayev ( Russian Рамиз Гаджи оглу Мустафаев ; born October 16, 1926 in Çärjew , Turkmen SSR , Soviet Union ; † April 10, 2008 in Baku , Azerbaijan ) was a Soviet-Azerbaijani music teacher and composer , conductor .
Life
Ramiz Mustafayev was born in Çärjew and moved to Baku with his family in 1927. First, in 1941, he entered the drama school of the Technical College for Theater in Baku. During this time he played at the Azerbaijan State Theater for young actors named after Maxim Gorki Azirbaycan Dövlət Gənc Tamaşaçılar Teatrı and at the Drama Theater named after Məşədi Əzizbəyov . His passion for singing led him to study at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory of today's Baku Music Academy . Here he studied in the singing class of the important Azerbaijani singer Bülbül (1897–1961). During this time he discovered his talent for composing and joined Boris Isaakowitsch Seidman's (1908–1981) composition class. Ramiz Mustafayev was the conductor, choir director and artistic director of the choir of the State Television and Radio of Azerbaijan. As a music teacher, he worked at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory and the Baku Music Academy. Since 1957 he has been a member of the Association of Azerbaijani Composers, later also on the board and as chairman of the department for musical performing arts. From 1968 to 1973 he was secretary of the association. In 1973 he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Azerbaijani SSR and in 1987 the honorary title of People's Artist of the Azerbaijani SSR . In 2001 he was awarded the Şöhrət Order .
Works (selection)
Ramiz Mustafayev signed in addition to the six operas Şirin, Vaqif , Aydın, Polad , Xan və əkinçi , Tərs keçi the five operettas Axırı yaxşı olar , Xəsis (along with Vasif Adıgözəlov ) Qonşumuzda bir oğlan var , Məsmə xala dayımdır , oratorios Ana , Hüseyn Javid , Nəriman Nərimanov , Inam , Mənim müasirim , Salatin , Nizami , Məhəmməd və Leyla oratoriyaları, seven cantatas as Haqq səninlədir , Samad Vurgun and freestyle Absheron five vocal symphonic poems like Bu qan yerdə qalan deyil !, Nədən yarandın and Fizuli , eight symphonies, over 500 songs and romances and more than 200 folk songs. The Soviet label Melodija released an LP with songs by Mustafayev. The songs were recorded by the folk instrument ensemble Arsu. and the singers Elmira Rəhimova (* 1941), Zemfira Kuliyeva, Mogbil Ahmedov and Schafiga Kasumova. He also wrote a lot of choral works due to his work with the Choir of the State Television and Radio of Azerbaijan. A collection of pieces for four-part mixed choir was published in 1983 by Ishiq in Baku.
Vaqif
Vaqif is Ramiz Mustafayev's most successful and best-known opera. The literary model is the drama of the same name by the Azerbaijani poet Səməd Vurğun from 1937. The libretto is by Firudin Mehdiyev. The world premiere took place on June 23, 1960 at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet House . The Azerbaijani tenor Lütfiyar İmanov (1928–2008) sang the title role. The opera won an award in an all-unions competition for young composers in 1962. Mustafayev reworked the opera several times in the course of his life for various performances. Mustafayev had a close relationship with the material, as he himself played the role of Əlibəy in Vurğun's drama during his time as an actor .
