Ramon Despuig
Ramón Despuig y Martinez de Marcilla (* 1670 in Palma ; † January 15, 1741 in Valletta ) was the 67th Grand Master of the Order of Malta .
He came from the Despuig family and belonged to the Aragonese tongue of the order. He was Bailli of Mallorca and Seneschal of Malta before he was elected as his successor on December 16, 1736 after the death of Grand Master Antonio Manoel de Vilhena . He served until his death in 1741.
During his tenure, the Order's galleys operated successfully against Algerian pirates .
He was also Grand Master of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher .
