The Rancure is a river in France that runs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises initially under the name Ravin des Brandaires in the municipal area of Saint-Jeannet , just south of the Col de l'Espinouse , generally drains west to southwest and after 24 kilometers flows into the Durance as a left tributary in the municipal area of Oraison . On the western edge of Oraison it passes under a power plant channel of the EDF and is parallel to it up to its mouth. The canal crosses the Durance with the help of a trough bridge .
