Randi Vestergaard Evaldsen

Randi Nuka Vestergaard Evaldsen (born April 13, 1984 in Sisimiut ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Demokraatit ).

Life

She is the daughter of Åge Hans and Anna Grethe Evaldsen. She graduated from school in 2004 and later worked in business, where she a. a. worked at Pisiffik and TELE Greenland . She is married to Bo Klarskov Larsen, with whom she has the daughter Aviaq.

From 2013 to 2014 she was chairwoman of the youth organization Demokraatit. In 2014 she became party vice chairman and in 2016 first chairwoman. In 2014 she was elected to the Inatsisartut . In November 2015 she became Minister for Labor, Labor Market and Trade in Naalakkersuisut and was then Minister for Raw Materials and Finance from February to October 2016. Since 2017 she has also been a member of the Council of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq . In 2018 she was re-elected to the Inatsisartut. After the first and second vice mayors Nivi Olsen and Malene Lynge took leave of absence in the local council, Randi Vestergaard Evaldsen was appointed deputy mayor. In March 2019 she became the interim party chairman for Niels Thomsen, who was on leave . On August 1, 2019, she resigned from both the local council and parliament to take a job at Brugseni .
