Edge games

The edge games are a series of concerts of the Protestant church community Zepernick ( Panketal in Berlin ) and became in 1992 the first time carried out. They are organized by the cantor Karin Zapf and her husband, the composer Helmut Zapf . Once a year, as part of the concert series, a weekend festival for new music is held in the summer months . Numerous composers have so far enriched the festival with works composed especially for the Randspiele , including Peter Ablinger, Robert Carl, Nana Forte, Martin Frantzius, Vinko Globokar , Friedrich Goldmann , Georg Katzer , Max E. Keller , Hermann Keller, Johannes K. Hildebrandt , Ellen Hünnigen, Michael Jordan, Juliane Klein , Péter Kőszeghy , Jörg Mainka, Rainer Rubbert, Friedrich Schenker , Sebastian Stier, Tapio Tumela, Karl Heinz Wahren , Lothar Voigtländer and Helmut Zapf .

Important national and international soloists and ensembles have so far made guest appearances at the festival. B. Egidius Streiff (fl.), Matthias Bauer (double bass), Janne Saksala (double bass), Rico Gubler (sax.), Johannes Bauer , Konrad Bauer (trombone), Vinko Globokar (trombone), Carin Levine (fl.), Eiko Morikawa (sopr.), Katharina Hanstedt (harp), Die Maulwerker, KNM Berlin, Ensemble JungeMusik BB, ensemble mosaik berlin, modern-art-sextet berlin, Trio Nexus (Berlin), SONAR string quartet (Berlin / Hamburg), Streifftrio ( Basel), Percusemble Berlin and the Ensemble United Berlin.

In addition to around 10 to 12 concerts on the festival weekend, there are always sound installations and exhibitions to be heard and seen, among others by Andre Bartetzki , Rainer Dunkel, Rose Schulze, Marion Stille, Taymur Streng and Rolf Walter.
