Andre Bartetzki (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German composer , sound engineer , media artist and programmer .

Life

He studied sound engineering at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin . He built up the Studio for Electroacoustic Music (STEAM) and headed it until 2002. From 1999 to 2004 he taught at the Studio for Electroacoustic Music (SeaM) at the Liszt School of Music Weimar and the Bauhaus University Weimar . Since 2009 he has been running the Electronic Studio at the Technical University of Berlin with Volker Straebel . He was also a guest lecturer for sound synthesis and algorithmic composition in Berlin, Rostock, Bucharest, Prague, Seoul, Lisbon, Salzburg and Stockholm. His students include Péter Kőszeghy and Christian M. Fischer .

He is also a programmer, sound designer and sound engineer in the field of new music . He worked u. a. with William Forman , Helmut Zapf , Hanna Hartmann, Yueyang Wang , Matthias Jann, H. Johannes Wallmann , Miguel Azguime , Lenka Župková and Günter Heinz as well as the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin , Work in Progress, the Ensemble UnitedBerlin, the Kairos Quartet and the Ensemble Megaphone together. He developed the world's distributed software CMask for Mac OS X . His music has been performed at international music festivals for new music and computer music in Berlin, Erlangen, Gothenburg, Barcelona, ​​Copenhagen, Belfast, São Paulo, Seoul, Marseille, Mallorca, Brisbane, Toronto, Rome and Mexico.

From 1997 to 2004 he was a board member of the German Society for Electroacoustic Music (DEGEM).
