The Ranowa ( Russian Ра́нова ) is a right and at the same time the most important tributary of the Pronja in central Russia .

The Ranowa rises in Miloslawskoje Rajon in the extreme south of the Ryazan Oblast . In the upper reaches it flows mainly in an easterly direction, briefly penetrating the Lipetsk Oblast . Later she turns to the northeast. It flows past Ryashsk about 5 km north . In the lower reaches it turns north. Finally, it meets the Pronja, which also flows north, 54 km above its confluence with the Oka . The main tributaries of the Ranowa are Wjerda from the left and Chupta from the right.

The Ranowa has a length of 166 km. It drains an area of ​​5550 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . It usually freezes between November and mid-December. In the first half of April, the Ranowa is ice-free again.
