The Ranschbach rises in the Haardt area , as the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest is called. It then flows through the municipality of the same name and stripes a few kilometers to the east - already on the land of Landau in the Palatinate - the northern edge of the Arzheim district . Shortly before it flows into the Queich , it also passes under the Landau – Rohrbach railway line .
