Ras Beirut ( Arabic رأس بيروت, DMG Raʾs Bairūt ; literally "the head" or "the tip" of Beirut) is a district of the Lebanese capital Beirut . It is located in the west of the city and borders the Mediterranean Sea .

Ras Beirut consists of the seven districts: Jounblat (Sector 32), Snoubra (Sector 33), Hamra (Sector 34), Manara (Sector 36), Koreitem (Sector 37), Raoucheh (also spelled “Raouché”; Sector 38) and Ain el-Tiné (sector 39). Rue Hamra is one of the main shopping streets in Beirut. Ras Beirut is also home to numerous educational institutions such as the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the Near East School of Theology (NEST). Well-known theaters include Masrah al-Madina and Metro al-Madina. The Raoucheh Rocks on the coast of Ras Beirut are one of the landmarks of Beirut.
