Dar el-Mreisseh ( Arabic دار المريسة) is a district of the Lebanese capital Beirut . It's in the west of the city. In the north it is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and in the south by the larger district of Ras Beirut .

Dar el-Mreisseh consists of the three districts Ain el-Mreisseh (sector 30), Jamia ( Arabic جامعة ,University'; Sector 31) and Ras Beirut (sector 35; not to be confused with the district of the same name ). Dar el-Mreisseh is known for the Corniche and as the seat of the American University of Beirut (AUB), founded in 1866 .
