Rasim Gačanović

Rasim Gačanović (* 1950 in Sarajevo ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian politician and electrical engineer .

Life

He attended the electrical engineering faculty of the University of Sarajevo . He later received his doctorate from the University of Zagreb . He then worked as a researcher and director at an institute in Sarajevo. Later he worked in Croatia as a research assistant at the University of Osijek . On his return to Sarajevo, he works as the head of a group in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry. At times he was Minister for Transport and Communication of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina . From January 8, 1998 to April 2000, he was mayor of Sarajevo. He is a professor at the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of Sarajevo (as of 2013).
