Rasmus Prehn (2007)

Rasmus Prehn (born June 18, 1973 in Høje Taastrup ) is a Danish politician of the Social Democrats . He has been his country's development minister since June 2019.

education and profession

Prehn studied public administration at Aalborg University from 1995 to 1998 , where he obtained a bachelor's degree. Between 1998 and 1999 he was a Masters student in Sociology at the University of Leeds . He continued his studies in Aalborg until 2002.

From 2001 to 2002 he was project manager at the Danish trade union federation Landsorganisation i Danmark (LO). From 2002 to 2004 he was employed at the Esbjerg University . Between 2004 and 2005 he worked as a university lecturer.

Political career

Prehn moved into the Danish parliament, the Folketing , for the first time in the 2005 election . Since then he has represented the North Jutland region .

On June 27, 2019, he was appointed Minister of Development in the new Frederiksen government.
