architecture

portal

The three-storey building with 5: 8 axes and a gable roof is separated by plaster strips. These consist of a cornice with a plastered imitation of a layer of beams.

The rectangular portal has profiled walls under a blown gable on lateral volute brackets . In the middle of this gable is the city coat of arms in a cartouche (surrounded by the year 1677) and above, also in a cartouche, the coat of arms of Count Palatine Philipp Wilhelm von Pfalz-Neuburg .

The rectangular windows are all provided with a narrow plaster border. The two-storey south gable has curved steps. The floors are separated by profiled cornices and there are pedestals with spheres at the corners . On the top of the gable sits a square roof turret with beveled edges, which is crowned by an onion hood with a square, open lantern with a pointed helmet.

On the ground floor and first floor there is a central aisle with a groin vault , on the eastern side the two-flight platform staircase with vaulted runs. The council hall is on the third floor.
