The town hall in Lohr am Main , a town in the Bavarian district of Main-Spessart , was built between 1599 and 1601. The old town hall at Marktplatz 1 is a protected architectural monument .

architecture

The massive building was erected from 1599 to 1601 by Michael Imkeller from Lohr. The original hall on the ground floor was closed at the beginning of the 19th century and the richly decorated gables were replaced by simple classical forms. The rectangular building has a stair tower protruding on three sides on the northern broad side . The portal frame is decorated with Corinthian columns . A gilded Justitia sits on the roof turret .

On the first floor there is a large hall with Renaissance columns and a renewed stucco ceiling .
