The Town Hall Rheydt is in the district of Rheydt in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ), Market 11/12/13.

The building was built in 1894–96. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on May 14, 1985 under no. M 013 .

Former district court

The building, built in 1880, was taken over by the city ​​administration in 1905 to add an additional storey and to give it a correspondingly redesigned facade . The eaves continuous three-storey building has a developed gable roof. During the repairs carried out in 1951, the stucco facade was chipped off and replaced with simple scratch plaster. In place of the former risalit gable , a wide dormer window was installed.
