history
The property was built in 1791 by the architect Johann Philipp Geigel as a two-story hipped roof building and initially served as a rectory. In 1976 it was converted into an outbuilding of the town hall .
At the same time as the former parsonage, the associated outbuilding was built as a single-storey saddle roof building , which initially served as a parish barn and was converted into a community center before 1976.
The Flora statue created by the sculptor Valentin Weidner can be found in the accompanying garden facing towards Maxstraße . It was created in 1910 in the classical style with a lion's head on the pedestal . The statue belonged to the Katharinenstift old people's home, which was initially located in the Salinenstrasse 30 property built by the architect Leonhard Ritter and later moved to Friedrich-List-Strasse. As thanks for a grant, the Diakonisches Werk donated the statue to the city, which it set up in 1977 in the garden of Rathausplatz 2.
