The Rathbone Hills are a range of low hills and nunatakkers in the middle of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They extend about 6.5 km north of the Guthridge-Nunatakker in the Gutenko Mountains over a length of about 22.5 km in an east-west orientation.
The United States Geological Survey mapped the area in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain range in 1976 after Major David L. Rathbone (* 1934) of the United States Navy , commander of a Lockheed C-130 of the VXE-6 squadron Operation Deep Freeze in 1970 and 1971.
