Architecture and history
The site was developed from 1863 in connection with the construction of the neighboring Quedlinburg gas station . In the years 1909 to 1913 new buildings and extensions were built in the course of a company expansion. The Art Nouveau buildings have neo-baroque elements and were built according to plans by the Quedlinburg city building councilor Max Voss . There are two villa-shaped buildings for the directorate and administration. In addition, the functional buildings have largely been completely preserved on the large site. There is also a water tower , the chew building and the gas washing facility .
To mark the 50th anniversary of the complex, a memorial stone designed as a fountain was erected in 1913. It bears the inscription 1863-1913 and is provided with a forged crown.
