Ratko Delorko (composer)

Mario-Ratko Delorko (born August 15, 1959 in Hamburg ) is a German pianist , composer , author and conductor .

Life

Delorko studied piano, composition and conducting at the music academies in Düsseldorf , Cologne and Munich . His own compositions include piano works as well as chamber music, orchestral works and electronic music. His music is assigned to the fantastic realism. He has made numerous CD recordings as a pianist. Delorko gave concerts, to name just a few places, in the Berlin Philharmonic , the Hamburg Music Hall , the Cologne Philharmonic and the Alte Oper Frankfurt .

Delorko gives concerts and master classes in Europe, USA and Asia. He also teaches at the Frankfurt University of Music and writes articles for specialist pianistic magazines. He also leads master classes in Malaysia, Russia, Croatia, Italy, the USA, Vietnam and China.
