Sir Charles Raymond Beazley ( April 3, 1868 - February 1, 1955 ) was an English historian. From 1909 to 1933 he worked as a professor at the University of Birmingham .

He was the son of Pastor Joseph Beazley and his wife Louisa. He was born in Blackheath and was a student at the elite St Paul's School . He was a graduate of King's College London and Balliol College, Oxford . His academic career began as a fellow at Merton College, Oxford and continued as dean of the history faculty in Birmingham.

Beazley was pro-German in the years before England entered World War II . He positioned himself accordingly in the intellectual and political establishment of the interwar period. He has regularly published articles in the Anglo-German Review since the magazine was founded in 1936. He also served nationally in the '' Link '' organization that campaigned for German fascism. On October 12, 1938, Prof. Beazley and other members of this group signed a letter published in the Times of London, "in which the authors wholeheartedly welcomed the Munich Agreement of September 30, 1938 and called for a far-reaching settlement with Nazi Germany."
