Reach Out International Records

Reach Out International Records is a New York-based record label specializing in hardcore , punk , rock and reggae , founded in 1979 by Neil Cooper.

history

At the beginning of its history, ROIR released albums as music cassettes ; only later were records and CDs added as sound carriers. One of the label's best-known sound carriers is the hardcore compilation album New York Thrash , released in 1982 , which is considered to be the groundbreaking documentation of the transition from punk to New York hardcore . From 1990 to 2000 ROIR operated a European branch called ROIR Europe, whose pressings were sold by the French label Danceteria. Another sub-label was "The ROIR Sessions".
