Rebutia albiflora is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet albiflora is derived from the Latin words albus for 'white' and -florus for '-blütig'.

description

Rebutia albiflora grows with spherical, light green bodies and forms groups. The bodies reach a diameter of 1.8 to 2.5 centimeters and have fiber roots. The 14 to 16 ribs are clearly divided into cusps. There are about 5 white central spines , slightly darker at the tip . The up to 15 white radial spines are up to 5 millimeters long.

The white flowers have a more or less pink central stripe. They can reach a diameter of up to 2.5 centimeters. The pericarpel and the flower tube are covered with white bristles. The small, elongated fruits are bronze to reddish green.

Distribution and systematics

Rebutia albiflora is common in Bolivia in the north of the Tarija department .

The first description was published in 1963 by Friedrich Ritter and Albert Frederik Hendrik Buining . Synonyms are Aylostera albiflora (F.Ritter & Buining) Backeb. and Rebutia pulvinosa subsp. albiflora (F.Ritter & Buining) Hjertson .
