Rebutia einsteinii is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors Albert Einstein .

description

Rebutia einsteinii grows sprouting with light green to dark brownish green bodies and forms groups. The bodies reach a diameter of 2 to 3 centimeters and often have a massive, branched beet root. The unrecognizable ribs are divided into distinct humps. The areoles on it are elongated. The 10 to 20  spines can hardly be divided into central and radial spines. They are light to dark brown, spread out almost lying flat and 3 to 8 millimeters long.

The bright yellow flowers are up to 2.5 centimeters long and reach the same diameter.

Distribution, systematics and endangerment

Rebutia einsteinii is distributed in Argentina in the provinces of Salta and Jujuy at altitudes of 2800 to 4300 meters.

The first description was published in 1931 by Alberto Vojtěch Frič .

In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
