Rebutia pulvinosa is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Rebutia pulvinosa usually sprouts with spherical, light green bodies and forms groups. The bodies reach a diameter of 3 centimeters and have fiber roots. The approximately 12 ribs are clearly divided into cusps. The areoles on it are circular. There are up to 6 brownish  central spines , which are somewhat stronger than the radial spines and up to 2 millimeters long. The 11 to 22 white radial spines are up to 3 millimeters long.

The orange-yellow flowers are up to 2 centimeters long and 1.5 centimeters in diameter. The fruits are greenish red.

Distribution, systematics and endangerment

Rebutia pulvinosa is widespread in Bolivia in the Tarija department at altitudes of 1400 meters.

The first description was published in 1963 by Friedrich Ritter and Albert Frederik Hendrik Buining . Aylostera pulvinosa (F.Ritter & Buining) Backeb is a synonym .

In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is called " Data Deficient (DD) ", i. H. with insufficient data.
