Red Hot Chilli Pipers is a Scottish band from Glasgow formed in 2002 . The band's instruments include a. Bagpipes , guitars , keyboards and drums . You were among the first to combine folkloric bagpipe music with rock 'n' roll . In addition to cover versions of well-known classics such as We Will Rock You by Queen , Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple and Clocks by Coldplay , they also have their own compositions in their program.
The bagpipers are graduates of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and drummer Steven Graham is the world champion of the Drumming Championships and the 2005 Dewar Arts Awards winner . Bandleader Stuart Cassells was the BBC Young Trad Musician of the Year .
Her debut album Bagrock to the Masses went platinum.
In 2007 they won the BBC hosted show When Will I Be Famous? . In the same year they won the Scots Trad Music Awards in the Best Live Act category for the first time.
In autumn 2012 the “Chillis” took a longer concert break in order to relax and record the album Breathe , which was released in mid-2013. In 2014 they performed again at T in the Park in their Scottish homeland.

- The Red Hot Chilli Pipers were featured on the BBC radio comedy Hamish & Dougals Hogmanay Special directed by Barry Cryer and Graeme Garden in December 2004 , though that was probably just a coincidence.
- One of their albums, Music for the Kilted Generation , is a parody of the title of an album by The Prodigy , Music for the Jilted Generation .
- Members of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers were the soundtrack of easy to Train Your Dragon 2 involved
