Clugin Reformed Church
The Reformed Church of Clugin in Shams in the canton of Grisons is a Grade II listed Evangelical - Reformed church .
History and equipment
The church has a rectangular nave and a round apse of Romanesque style. It was restored in 1944 and from 1949 to 1952.
The church tower , the windows of which were later walled up by the oldest building structure, blends unconventionally in the south with the facade between the nave and the choir .
The interior of the church is adorned with wall paintings by both the famous Waltensburg master and the two generations later Rhäzünser master . The non-datable font with a spherical shell is dominant in the center .
Church organization
Clugin joined the Reformation in 1530 . For a long time in association with the villages of the Lower Schamserberg , it is now merged with Andeer and Pignia . It is part of the Colloquium II Schams-Avers-Rheinwald-Moesa within the Evangelical Reformed Church in Graubünden .
