Innerferrera Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Innerferrera in Val Ferrera is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .
history
Today's church is a new building from 1834, which integrated the much older structure of a previous church, probably from the beginning of the 16th century shortly before the Reformation . A bell from 1522 is positioned in front of the church entrance, which was probably used in the bell tower of the previous building. The two bells in use today date from 1726 and 1967.
Furnishing
In plain church interior reflects the choir a biblical word from the book of Hebrews (12.2) from the previous Romansh worship language in the idiom Sutsilvan :
"Cun fidainza lainsa nus vurdar sin Jesus, l'anscheatta a la fegn dalla cardientscha."
"We want to look confidently to Jesus, the beginner and finisher of faith."
The pedal-operated organ was installed in 1979.
Church organization
Ausserferrera became churchly independent in 1707 when it broke away from the mother church of St. Martin in Zillis . The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Innerferrera, which forms a parish with Ausserferrera and a pastoral community with Avers , where the common pastor lives , within the Colloquium II Schams-Avers-Rheinwald-Moesa .
