Olof Palme 1974

The Palme I government was formed in Sweden on October 14, 1969 by Prime Minister Olof Palme of the Swedish Social Democratic Workers' Party SAP ( Sveriges socialdemokratiska arbetareparti ) and replaced the Erlander III government . She remained in office until October 8, 1976 and was then replaced by the Fälldin I government. Palmes SAP won the elections for the Swedish Reichstag on September 20, 1970 and September 16, 1973 . After the election of September 19, 1976 , the SAP could not provide the Prime Minister for the first time in 40 years, whereupon Thorbjörn Fälldin of the Center Party ( Centerpartiet ) formed a coalition government.
