Reginbrand
Reginbrand († 988 ) was the first bishop of Aarhus .
He received 948 by Archbishop Adaldag of Hamburg-Bremen with the express permission of Pope Agapitus II. The episcopal ordination . With two other bishops of new dioceses, namely Hored (Oredo) in Schleswig and Leofdag in Ribe , he took part in the universal synod of Ingelheim on June 7, 948 . This marked a significant step forward in the history of the Danish Church, because from now on all liturgical celebrations could be carried out by local bishops.
After Reginbrand's death, the three dioceses in Jutland were administered jointly. Aarhus did not become a bishopric again until 1060.
