Regine Lück (born March 30, 1954 in Koserow ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). She is president of the Rostock citizenship and was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from 2002 to 2016 .

Life

Lück attended high school in Rostock and then completed an apprenticeship as a specialist saleswoman in a Rostock department store. Then she was in Dresden , where she studied at the technical college for domestic trade and graduated as an economist. She worked as a sales trainer and head of sales promotion in the same Rostock department store where she did her training. She was a member of the Rostock district council and deputy head of the youth and sports department. She then studied at the University of State and Law in Potsdam-Babelsberg and graduated with a degree in political science. Afterwards she worked in the field service of a Berlin wholesaler and as head of a Rostock fashion house. She is non-denominational, married and has two children.

politics

Lück joined the Linkspartei.PDS and was a member of the Rostock citizenship. In the state elections in 2002 she was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, to which she has been a member since October 22, 2002. From 2002 to 2006 she was deputy chairwoman of the PDS parliamentary group in the state parliament. In the state elections in 2006 and 2011, she was re-elected to the state parliament via the state list of the Left Party. There she is the spokeswoman for her parliamentary group for labor market policy, construction and state development. From September 2010 to September 2011 she was the parliamentary director of the DIE LINKE parliamentary group. On October 4, 2011 she was elected 2nd Vice President of the State Parliament. On July 3, 2019, Regine Lück was elected as the successor to Wolfgang Nitzsche (Die Linke) as President of the Rostock citizenship.

Since 2006 Regine Lück has been a member of the Humanist Association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
