The Regulakirche in Chur is next to the Martinskirche the second Evangelical Reformed old town church in the Colloquium IV Chur .

History and equipment

The sacred building is named after the martyr Regula from the 4th century. Its building fabric goes back to the 9th century. It is located next to the more than 300 year old Hotel Stern and close to the Cantonal Library of Graubünden .

The Regulakirche is a simple Gothic building. Your windows are adorned with stained glass by Hanns Studer . After the Reformation was introduced in Chur in 1523, the Catholic Church was converted into a Protestant church. The Protestant Supper was celebrated for the first time in 1526 , and the celebration of the Catholic mass in the Regulakirche was abolished in 1527 .

A major renovation took place in 1967/68 . A second renovation took place in 2014. Currently, the Regulakirche is no longer used as a Sunday sermon church , but only for weekly evening services.
