Reichstorf is a district of the Eichendorf market in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau .

Reichstorf is located in the Vilstal about six kilometers east of Eichendorf.

history

In 2011 a grave from the time the town was founded was discovered in a burial ground near Reichstorf around 600 AD. The first documented mention of Reichstorf comes from the year 1067. The place was owned by the Counts of Hals and after their extinction in 1375 it went to the Counts of Ortenburg . In 1438 Reichstorf was first referred to as a seat, in 1528 as a seat, court mark and village court. Reichstorf came into the possession of the Counts of Tattenbach . After the death of the Bavarian Minister Count Max Joseph von Tattenbach in 1802, Count Heinrich von Tattenbach, the representative of a branch line, inherited the property in Adldorf and the court brands Reichstorf and Wannersdorf. 1818 by the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt the community Reichstorf founded. The last remnants of the aristocracy were abolished in 1848. The municipality was incorporated into the Eichendorf market on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Architectural monuments

The Catholic branch church of the Holy Cross is the former castle chapel of the abandoned Hofmarkschloss, a hall church with a west tower and retracted choir from the 14th century.
