Reichthalshof is a remote area in the district of Euerbacher hamlet Obbach in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt .
Geographical location
The Reichthalshof is located in the far north of the Euerbach municipality. Further north begins the area of the market Sulzthal in the Bad Kissingen district , with which the farm is connected via the state road 2290. Some distance to the east is Poppenhausen . In the south, also accessible via the state road, is Obbach. With Greßthal in the southwest and Wasserlosen in the west, this side occupies the municipality of Wasserlosen .
history
The Reichthalshof dates back to a village that is now a desert . The place name refers to the personal name Richolf. So it means Richolf's farm in the valley. "Hrichuntal" was first mentioned in the year 820. As recently as 1321, the "villula dicta Rychtal" (little village called Rychtal) existed as a cohesive settlement. A short time later it was given up and the nearby farm took over the name. The farm was during the Middle Ages Vorwerk of the castle Good Obbach.
