The ReidBuilt Homes Edmonton Open 2014 took place November 27-30 , 2014 in Edmonton , Canada . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2014/15 and belonged to the International 35 category .

The defending champion was Marwan Elshorbagy , who did not participate again. The final was won by Simon Rösner , who defeated Tarek Momen with 11: 8, 4:11, 7:11, 13:11 and 11: 6. It was Rösner's first title of the current season.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Dane Sharp a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 35,000.
