Reid Ewing

Reid Ewing (born November 7, 1988 ) is an American actor and musician . He gained fame primarily through the role of Dylan Marshall from the Modern Family series .

life and career

Reid Ewing comes from the US state Florida. He attended Dreyfoos School of the Arts , a high school with an artistic profile, in West Palm Beach . After graduating from high school, he studied at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts before moving to Los Angeles . During his time in Florida he gained his first acting experience on the theater stage.

He took on his first acting role in front of the camera in 2008 with an appearance in the television film Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! . From 2009 to 2011 he appeared as Charlie Plunk in the series Zeke and Luther . Also in 2009 he took on the role of Dylan Marshall in the Mockumentary Modern Family . in this role he was seen in the course of the series in every season. With the beginning of the final eleventh season, he has been part of the main cast since 2019. He plays the instruments guitar, banjo and piano. For Modern Family he wrote the song In the Moonlight (Do Me) , which he performs during the first season. In 2011 he played a small supporting role in My Sister Charlie and was also seen as Ben Wegner in the horror film Fright Night .

In 2014 he starred as Beckett in the drama Mall: Wrong Time, Wrong Place .

Personal

In 2015 Ewing made his dysmorphophobia public, because of which he underwent several operations. The first time in 2008 at the age of 20. He also came out as homosexual.
