The Reifträgerbaude (sometimes also Szrenica hut , Polish Schronisko na Szrenicy or Na Szrenicy for short ) is located at an altitude of 1362 m npm in Poland in the Giant Mountains , a mountain range of the Sudetes , on the summit of Szrenica (German: Reifträger).
history
The hut was built in 1922 . It was owned by the PTTK - the Polish Tourist and Cultural Society. It has been privately operated since 1992.
Accesses
The hut is one of the highest located huts in the Giant Mountains. It can be reached via several marked hiking trails. The upper station of the Szrenica cable car from Szklarska Poręba is at the hut. It is on the main Sudeten hiking trail . The Polish Hala-Szrenicka-Hütte (German: Neue Schlesische Baude ) of the PTTK and the Czech Wosseckerbaude ( Vosecká bouda ) are each about 1 km as the crow flies .
