Reiner Alhaus (born December 27, 1955 ) is a former German soccer player .
Athletic career
Alhaus comes from the youth of Wuppertal SV Borussia . From there he moved to BV Lüttringhausen , for which he competed in the amateur field. In 1976 he rose with the club in the fourth-class Lower Rhine regional league, from which the club rose to the Niederrhein association league in 1978 as part of the introduction of the North Rhine regional league.
Alhaus had made a name for itself in the higher class and was brought into the Bundesliga in 1978 by MSV Duisburg . Initially in the starting line-up, however, the offensive player could not prevail against the competition for Herbert Büssers , Ronald Worm and Kurt Jara and was mostly used as a substitute under coach Rolf Schafstall . He scored his only league goal in a 4-4 draw against SV Darmstadt 98 .
After one season Alhaus moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the southern season of the lower house he established himself over long periods of the season at the side of Karl Allgöwer , Werner Nickel and Uwe Dreher as a regular and played 36 of the 42 competitive games in his first season. Even at the beginning of the following season under coach Hans-Dieter Roos he was still a regular after a coach change when Slobodan Čendić took over the team, mainly on the bench. Shortly after the start of the 1981/82 season, he left the club and henceforth hired himself out at SV Fellbach in amateur football and appeared as a celebrity player at charity games.
After the end of his career, Alhaus remained connected to football as a coach. In the greater Stuttgart area he worked for various amateur clubs.
