Hans Georg Kägi

Hans Georg Kägi (born June 12, 1935 in Winterthur-Veltheim , † October 6, 1966 in Winterthur ) was a Swiss artist .

Life

Kägi graduated with a type B Matura in 1954 . From 1954 to 1958 he studied art history , archeology and theater studies at the University of Zurich . At the same time he attended the arts and crafts school , where in July 1959 he obtained the diploma for higher education in drawing .

From 1957 he worked first as an assistant teacher, then later as the main teacher for drawing at the secondary school and teacher training school , as well as the municipal girls' school and at the technical center in Winterthur . From 1962 he worked as a freelance painter.

Kägi was a member of the Winterthur artist group . He died while renovating his studio .
