At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he reached the semi-finals in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1975 and 1976 he became German champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay with TV Wattenscheid 01 .

His personal best of 10.3 s was on June 23, 1973 in Bonn .
