Viehle ( Low German Viehl ) is a village in the Sumte district of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .

The place is four kilometers southeast of Bleckede on the opposite bank of the Elbe in the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Viehle had 13 residential buildings in which 105 people lived. At the time the place was parish after Barskamp ; the school was in town. On December 1, 1910, Viehle had 71 inhabitants in the Bleckede district . As part of the area changes in the Schwerin district , Viehle was incorporated into Sumte on January 1, 1974. After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993, Sumte and Viehle were incorporated into the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
