Laave ( Low German Laav ) is a village in the Kaarßen part of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .

The place is five kilometers north of Hitzacker . The Rögnitz runs 500 meters northeast .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Laave had 25 residential buildings in which 248 residents lived. At the time the place was parish after Kaarßen, the school was in the place. On December 1, 1910, Laave in the Bleckede district had 305 inhabitants. As part of the territorial changes in Mecklenburg , Laave was incorporated into Kaarßen on July 1, 1950. After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993 Kaarßen was incorporated with Laave into the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
