Neu Garge ( Low German Nee Garg ) is a village in the district of Sumte in the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .

The place is five kilometers southeast of Bleckede on the right bank of the Elbe in the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that the place with the spelling Neugarge had 15 residential buildings in which 152 people lived. At the time the place was parish after Barskamp ; the school was in town. When Germany was divided, Neu Garge became part of the GDR . As part of the area changes in Mecklenburg , Neu Garge was incorporated into Viehle on July 1, 1950 and came to Sumte on January 1, 1974 when the area changes in the Schwerin district with Viehle . After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993 Sumte was incorporated with Neu Garge in the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
