Niendorf ( Low German Neendbod ) is a village in the Sumte district of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .

geography

The place is seven kilometers east of Bleckede , east of the Elbe on the B 195 . The eastern border of the place forms the Krainke .

history

On December 1, 1910, Niendorf had 189 inhabitants and was the only place in today's municipality of Amt Neuhaus to belong to the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin . As part of the area changes in the Schwerin district , Niendorf was incorporated into Sumte on January 1, 1974. After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993 Sumte and Niendorf were incorporated into the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
